Addressing youths today at Amariba secondary school Nyaribari Chache constituency In Kisii during the Kisii Youth Forum Roundtable edition, he said that Cord had nowhere to go with their demonstrations rather than calling it off.

Kuria said that the current IEBC was put in place during Raila and Kibaki times hence, they are wondering why Raila is turning against it.

“IEBC was formed during Raila’s time, we are shocked to find him fighting his team, once they will bring the motion in parliament about disbanding it I will second the motion simply because it is Raila's team," said Kuria. In addition, he said that demonstration is not the solution to disbanding IEBC so he challenged Cord leaders to look for a better way of solving their issues.“Going to streets it is not the way Kenyans needs to go we need to follow the right channels so that we can develop this nation," said Kuria."we are tired of demonstrations which are affecting our economy,” he said.

This comes after the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) made an unprecedented turnabout and temporarily suspended their protests against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
