Mr Bosire, who was reportedly said to be under house arrest after leading the Cord brigade on Monday in issuing a statement following the sensational claims by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria that Opposition leader Raila Odinga should be assassinated, was ordered to record a statement with the police by IG Joseph Boinnet.

But on Tuesday in an interview with this reporter, Bosire said he would not be ‘shaken’ and vowed to continue putting the government in check.

“It’s true that heavily armed police surrounded my house in Karen throughout the night but I am not shaken by these mere threats. This failing state cannot intimidate citizens who are fighting for social equity and against injustices,” he added.

“Kenya is gradually being turned to an autocratic state and for those who know the milestones we have made, will never stop fighting for the right thing. I am not afraid of being arrested as long as I am counted on the right side of history,” said the vocal Kitutu Masaba MP.
