A public university on Tuesday booked a space on a national newspaper to apologise to Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University in Siaya county, regretted getting Matiangi's title wrong during a previous function held at the institution. 

"We erroneously captured the title of Cabinet Secretary of Education Dr. Fred Matiang'i as PHD, EBS instead of Dr. Fred Matiang'i PHD, EGH. We sincerely apologise for the mix up, " read part of the statement published on Daily Nation. 

Matiang'i is known to be a no non-sense CS and this could perhaps be the reason the university had to apologise on a national daily.
