In an interview with Clouds FM on Thursday, Harmonize disclosed that he was asked to pay up to 500 million Tanzanian shillings to the label as indemnity to using the stage name 'Harmonize' given to him by the label at the beginning

He said that before exiting the label, he sold some of his valuables including three houses and other properties to pay off the amount noting that he did not exit Wasafi in bad faith.

"In truth, I didn't leave in bad faith, we followed the procedure and rules of the contract (Kiukweli kule sijaondoka kwa ubaya, tumefuata sheria na taratibu za Mkataba)," said Harmonize.

"(Nilitakiwa kulipa million 500 na baadhi ya gharama, Kiukweli sikuwa na pesa lakini nmeuza baadhi ya mali zangu nifanikiwe kulipa hiyo pesa na kwa asilimia kubwa...)

I was to pay 500 million shillings and other costs. I didn't have the money but I have sold a part of my property and paid a big percentage..(Nilitakiwa kulipa million 500 na baadhi ya gharama, Kiukweli sikuwa na pesa lakini nmeuza baadhi ya mali zangu nifanikiwe kulipa hiyo pesa na kwa asilimia kubwa...)," he added.

Harmonize left Wasafi record label a few months ago and began his own label known as Konde Gang.
