A primary school teacher was on Tuesday arrest for leaking KCPE exams to his students.
Oliver Openda a teacher at Mary Joy Primary school in Bombolulu, Mombasa County was arrested by detectives from the area and later interrogated at the CID in Nyali.
An officer present during his arrest said that Openda was caught after he opened one of the exams and leaked it to pupils.
It is not clear if he had leaked all the exams as more investigations are being conducted to establish that added the officer.
This year’s KCPE examinations has seen more stringent measures put in place by the ministry of education due to rampant cases of cheating in previous years tests.
Openda is the second teacher to be arrested this year over exam leakage related issues after another teacher was arrested in Migori County for attempting to sell fake examination papers to a student.
