The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (Kura) has announced that the Eastern Bypass road will be closed temporarily for a period of two months.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, Kura said the road will be diverted at the Kagundo junction from June 23 to August 22.

“This will enable construction of the Dandora Estate Box Culvert Trunk Sewer across the road on behalf of the Athi Water Services Board as part of Nairobi River Sewerage improvement project,” read the notice in part.

Motorists have been advised to exercise caution and use the diversion road.

The diversion will take effect from June 23 at 11:00 am.
