Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has backed ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna's claims that NASA has collapsed.
The coalition was crafted in 2017 and steered Raila Odinga's presidential ambitions for the forth time in disputed Presidential polls that saw Supreme Court nullify outcome.
Last week, Mr Sifuna insisted that the coalition had collapsed, adding that the ODM party is aiming at forming future partnerships with other parties.
“We want to formalise this divorce instead of them always undermining us and pretending to be our friends,” said Mr Sifuna in the wake of Nasa feud over fielding of candidates in Kibra.
Last year, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and his ANC counterpart Musalia Mudavadi accused Raila Odinga of striking a deal without involving them.
And Mr Muthama, who was one of founders of the coalition, says the coalition is beyond repair, citing fielding of candidates at Kibra poll as an example.
“It will be extremely difficult to save Nasa from imminent collapse now. How else would you explain the chaos in Kibra where Musalia, just like Weta, have all fielded candidates against ODM’s Imran? On the other hand, Kalonzo is uninterested,” former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama holds.
Mr Odinga is likely to form partnerships with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022, with their allies often seen campaigning together ahead of the polls.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Mr Odinga were rewarded with continental jobs following the truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta which also left DP William Ruto bitter.
