Freshers are about to join campus and therefore it is imperative that they get to know some things before joining the university.
Here are two things the JKUAT freshers, September intake, who intend to join the institution need to know;
1. Booking of hostels is online.
As opposed to the past, there is a link that allow students who need to sojourn within the university halls of residence to book their rooms. If you need to secure one, you will be required to be swift enough since they operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The rooms are not as many as you may think. Booking of rooms is scheduled for August. The date has not been stated, so be on toes.
2. Avoid erring past 9 pm in Juja
You will get to know about gates a, b, c, d and other places such as Sewage, Containers, Salama Seagull among others after being admitted. No one will tell you about how robbery and theft cases are rampant in those regions.
Gate c is a haven for gangsters and students have been losing their belongings everyday. Cases of students being robbed as early as even 8 pm are common and have been even recorded.
To be safe, steer clear of roaming in those places especially after the mentioned time. Thugs in those areas target new students.
