Nyamira County Assembly Speaker Joash Nyamoko has poked holes in the Gusii unity call being spearheaded by a section of Kisii County leaders.
Nyamoko who spoke in his office Wednesday said although the unity call was a noble idea, he, however, raised concerns with the leaders selling it noting that they are unfit for the task.
He accused the said leaders of being driven by greed and not the interest of the Omogusii at heart and that is why the unity rally is losing ground too fast.
"The unity call is a very good and noble idea but the people rallying it are not the right people. They seem to be doing so for their own benefit. They only want to use this as a ticket for their own gain and not the community, they only think they are better than others or can do better than the other leaders, they must include all Gusii leaders if they are genuine," said Nyamoko.
The Speaker at the same time urged the community to join the Jubilee government adding that it has more to offer than the opposition.
"Our people should join the government as it has a lot of resources that can benefit us as a whole," he added.
