The Coast Provincial Hospital has established lift to help diabetic, kidney and heart patients move with ease at the facility.
Governor Hassan Joho said the county government will strive to improve the well-being of patients at the facility.
He said his government will ensure health standards will improve in the devolved unit.
"Diabetics, kidney and heart patients who attend Coast Provincial General Hospital (CPGH) for treatment and regular clinics have received a huge relief following the installation of new lifts which improves their access to medical services at the facility," Joho said on his official Facebook account on Wednesday.
"The lifts will also come handy in moving patients to different wards, to laboratory, radiology and other treatment sections."
"The new state of the art elevators by a German company dubbed Shneider, have replaced the old lifts which have been at the facility and stopped working 25 years ago after breaking down."
The Health ministry is among ministries in Mr Joho's government that receive the highest budgetary allocation every Financial Year.
