Speaking on Saturday, he specifically cautioned against the excitement in the ODM party, regarding the party leader Raila Odinga Odinga's union with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta will most likely part ways with Raila in the long run, and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) will not hold the reason why they will stick together.

According to Mwaura, it's also funny for the group to expect that Uhuru will stick to Raila to benefit from the powerless Prime Ministerial proposal by the BBI.

"Uhuru cannot retire from an executive presidency to go become a Prime Minister of Duale's rank and become a member of parliament (Uhuru hawezi toka kuwa executive President arudi eti awe Prime wa cheo cha Duale, eti akuwe mbunge)," he said on Radio Jambo, Saturday morning.

On the BBI, which Uhuru founded alongside ODM leader Raila Odinga, Mwaura said that though it was formed to bring political calm, the result cannot be felt something right away.

He urged the president to avoid anger when things appear not to be going as he expected.

"Let Uhuru not expect the end of the noise, that's why he is annoyed; he thought BBI will end the noises (Uhuru asitarajie kelele zitaisha, and that's why he is annoyed. Alitarajia BBI itamaliza kelele)," he added.

On Thursday, Uhuru scolded Mt Kenya MPs who were questioning the BBI from the start, before shifting to opposing the proposed referendum implementation of the report.

On Friday, the group dropped its hardstand, saying that it will accept whatever is proposed by the president.
