Kenyan social media users have expressed mixed reactions after former President of Kenya Daniel Toroitich arap Moi was discharged from Nairobi Hospital on Thursday.
The Kenya's second president had been admitted at the hospital after he allegedly developed some breathing complications.
A section of the Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) wished Moi quick recovery as they prayed for his health to improve.
The netizens also took the opportunity to criticize and shame those who had spread fake news about Moi's health condition.
Moi's press secretary Lee Njiru on several occasions issued clarification on how the ex president was fairing on at the hospital.
According to Njiru some of the details about Moi's health condition were exaggerated by various news reports.
A number of the KOT praised Nairobi Hospital for providing good healthcare to the retired president citing that the hospital had created an example that domestic healthcare facilities could also provide quality services.
They argued that the case of Moi should serve as an example for those who seek foreign medical services to start going at the local hospitals.
A group of the netizens pointed out how strong Moi was for his age. They went ahead to wish him a long life.
