Mr Kuria is yet again in trouble after he allegedly called for the assassination of Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday at the thanksgiving rally of a vernacular station radio presenter held at the Safaricom indoor stadium, Kasarani..

And now Senator Okong’o who spoke to this reporter on Tuesday said the test would help ascertain the mental status of the outspoken MP for further action.

“Kuria is a disgrace to Parliament and the people of Gatundu South. He should undergo free psychiatric care in detention so that he is assessed to avert creating more tension to an already polarised country,” he said.

He also accused the National Cohesion and Integration Commission led by Francis ole Kaparo of being incompetent for allegedly failing to ‘nail’ Mr Kuria.

“NCIC is a commission that doesn’t understand its mandate. I thought by now they should have nailed Mr Kuria who has repeatedly made inciting remarks that threaten our integration. The commission is incompetent and a waste of public funds. Time has come to disband it,” he said.

Mong’are also urged the Judiciary to be extra-careful not to drag cases that touch on incitement.

"We want action taken by the Judiciary. There should be a review on Mr Kuria’s case and the judge or magistrate hearing it should be investigated to establish why Kuria’s bail hasn’t been cancelled. The Judiciary must be extra-careful,” he said.
