Deputy President William Ruto has accused the opposition of trying to impede Jubilee government's development agenda.
Speaking at Matungu in Kakamega County on Saturday, Ruto said that the opposition was teaming up with other people who only concentrated in attacking the Jubilee government.
He further accused Cord leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga and ANC's Musalia Mudavadi of having worked in the government for too long but achieved little for the people.
According to Ruto, the Jubilee administration has done much better than the previous regimes.
"Raila, Kalonzo and Mudavadi have served for too long in the previous governments. The three leaders have served for at least 20 years but have little to show for their time in office. I, on the other hand, has only served for a short while and the return rate is great. The Jubilee administration has served the people better than the past regimes in the country," said Ruto.
The DP was accompanied by area leaders who drummed up his sentiments and called on the locals to embrace Jubilee in the 2017 elections.
Mumias East MP Ben Washiali, Navakholo MP Emmnauel Wangwe, Lung Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani and Matungu MP David Were called on the people of Western to shun the opposition as they were not going to get anything from them.
They urged the people to vote for the current government in order for them to realize development in their areas.
