Already, allies of the truce, popularly known as the handshake, have termed ODM's win in the Kibra race as the first outcome, terming Imran Okoth the first child of the handshake.

Speaking on Tuesday, Amollo, an ODM lawmaker, said that many more such children will be born, a relationship that will also make things complicated for the enemies of the truce.

He added that similarly, there will be orphans, politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto, suggesting that the group will be replaced by handshake-friendly ones in the future.

"When Imran Okoth says he is a child of the handshake it is true because he actually is and many more children are going to be born from the handshake. There will be orphans as well likely to be led by the deputy president," he said.

He made the remarks on NTV's AM Live on Tuesday morning.

The DP is considered the main barrier to the handshake, and has been under attack for allegedly using his allies to undermine it.

Some of his allies have been questioning Raila's plans after the truce, alleging that he is misusing his closeness with Uhuru, to shake the Jubilee Party from within, intending to break it.
