Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati on Friday stole the show during the burial of Dr Hezron Manduku at Nyanturago village in Raila Odinga's presence.
While a number of Tanga Tanga legislators decided to skip the burial, Mr Arati would not sit back and watch, and instead decided to lecture the team.
Amid laughter, Arati cautioned leaders from Abagusii community from taking 'handouts' from Dr Ruto, arguing that the DP is a suspect in various cases.
"I want to ask a simply question, who is the biggest thief in Kenya today?" asked Arati with the people responding in affirmative (Ruto) as Raila burst into laughter.
He continued: "Those MPs picking handouts from him to abuse Dr Fred Matiang'i be ready for a duel. We shall send you packing if you can't change your habits."
Arati further cautioned residents against voting for the team, insisting that they are responsible for plunder of public resources across the government.
But in a swift response, Sylvanus Osoro of South Mugirango, accused MPs in Matiang'i's wing of being insensitive, arguing that they should concentrate on service delivery.
"Kenya is a democracy. You cannot force us to support what you want. Deliver first for the people before questioning our political stand. I will support Dr Ruto and that's all," he said.
