Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has hailed the recovery of Rosemary Odinga, who has since been given a clean bill of health.
Ms Odinga has been struggling with blindness for two years after undergoing brain tumour surgery.
In a tweet on Thursday, Khalwale said the eyesight disorder was a big scare to the Odinga family and several friends.
"Congratulations Rosemary Odinga for regaining your eyesight. It certainly was a big scare for you, your family and your friends. It's well all that ends well," he tweeted.
Before Rosemary suffered the setback in 2017, Khalwale, then chief campaigner of NASA, accompanied her to Kibra, where she announced bid for the parliamentary seat.
But months later, she bowed out of the race following medical complications, just two months before ODM nominations.
On Wednesday, Rosemary narrated for the first time how she managed to recover from the condition which had almost dashed her hopes of seeing again.
"People would see me and think I was able to see because my eyes were 'wide open'. I am grateful for your prayers and support during those difficult times" she said.
