Deputy President Willliam Ruto and Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga have congratulated Kenya Morans despite losing 82-61 to the Democratic Republic of Congo at the final of the FIBA Afrocan championship in Bamako, Mali. The duo said that Kenya showed exemplary performance during the contest. The leaders said that they are proud to be associated with the national team following their great performance. Ruto said that the players showed resilience and determination during the competition, which was amazing.“Congratulations to Kenya Morans for your determination and tenacity throughout the FIBA Afrocan tournament. You showed resilience, steel, and capability to reach the final. Your second-place finish is a reward for hard work and well deserved,” he tweeted.In his message, Raila said that the team deserves credit for the good performance it showed. He noted that Morans have proven to the continent that they can do it. He went on to wish the team the best of luck in future competitions.
