Bodaboda operators were up in arms over poor and impassable Kenyenya–Ogembo road in Bomachoge Borabu constituency.
The operators Waved placards and twigs along the road on Wednesday morning accusing the current MP Joel Onyancha and county of Kisii for doing less in terms of infrastructure.
Led by their Chairman Charles Binyanya they said they won’t allow any person use the road until they get quick solutions to their problems.
“We will stay put and mobilise more operators to demonstrate because the state of the road has led to loss of lives and businesses,” he added
Binyanya said they have in the past called upon the area leaders to ensure they set aside funds for the poor roads in the area but all has been in vain.
“We won’t back down our calling and in the next few weeks we will not even pay our taxes until the road is repaired,” he added.
Though they added that this is not the first time they are calling for the leaders to repair the roads.
