Nyamira Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi maintains that the decision to work with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i came from the bottom of her heart.
For the better part of last year, Mrs Momanyi along with MPs Joash Nyamoko, Vincent Kemosi and Shadrack Mose backed DP William Ruto.
However, in June this year, Mrs Momanyi made a u-turn, joining Dr Matiang'i, even though it's not clear whether or not he will run for a political seat.
But despite the uncertainty, Dr Matiang'i has however managed to assemble a formidable team lead by Mrs Momanyi and Senator Okong'o Mogeni.
In an interview on Sunday, Momanyi said that she does not regret joining Dr Fred Matiang'i in her quest to push for development.
"We are guided by principles. For the short time I have worked with the minister, I have seen tangible results. He is a performer and we shall rally behind him.
"Those who think that I will rejoin Tanga Tanga are misled. I am sticking in this development oriented camp until we deliver," she added.
Last week, Dr Matiang'i said he was focused to ensure both Kisii and Nyamira Counties are properly developed, adding that he will work closely with local leaders.
A number of leaders led by Borabu MP Ben Momanyi have challenged ODM leader Raila Odinga to consider supporting Dr Matiang'i in 2022.
