Deputy President William Ruto met Jubilee party leaders and supporters from Bomet County, Tuesday.
Bomet governor Isaac Ruto snubbed the meeting held at Ruto's Sugoi home in Uasin Gishu, after he cut his political relationship with Ruto.
This is after Ruto merged into Jubilee party, his URP party which the governor used as his gubernatorial vehicle in 2013.
Ruto later formed his Chama Cha Mashinani party, which he intends to seek re-election in the upcoming August polls.
Governor Ruto's close political rival National Assembly Deputy Speaker Sotik MP Joyce Laboso attended the meeting, accompanied by various Bomet Jubilee leaders including senator Stephen Mutahi.
Laboso who has vowed to unseat Ruto, declared her support for Jubilee and Ruto.
Ruto also hosted wananchi from Tongaren and Webuye East led by Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka.
