Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's allies have downplayed a possible fallout in the party following a recent public altercation between Kalonzo and Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr, a close ally of the former Vice President claimed that reports on the Wiper Party divisions had been largely hyped and sensationalised by the media.
"There is no fallout in Wiper, and it won't happen. The whole issue has been overhyped," he said.
Musyoka reportedly accused Senator Muthama of sparking division in the Wiper Party and conspiring with Siaya Senator James Orengo to shortchange him in the Cord presidential nominations in favour of ODM leader Raila Odinga.
