Controversial politician Dr Reuben Savai is dead.
Savai, who had six degrees from different universities died at the age of 70 after a long battle with illness.
He attempted to contest for the presidency in 1997 and 2002 but his efforts did not bear fruits after electoral body locked him out of the contest.
His son Daniel Lihanda confirmed the sad news on Sunday.
The deceased also had a diploma but he never secured any formal employment using the same. He had six degrees from Greece and a diploma from Makerere University in Uganda.
Savai, who tried to contest for the presidency on a Kenya Republican Reformation Party ticket, attempted to secure formal employment after failing in politics but he was still unsuccessful.
He was a holder of Diploma in Theology, two Bachelor of Education degrees and Law degree. He also had a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and another one in Arts
"He studied abroad and got one diploma and six degrees. When he returned to Kenya, he did not secure employment and ventured into politics. When he lost his bid for Lang’ata parliamentary seat, he also tried seeking a job but was not successful," Lihanda said, as quoted by Daily Nation.
Leaders from various parts of the nation have sent their condolence messages to the family following the demise of the controversial politician.
