The CEO of the water company, Malaquen Milgo said the board plans to increase the water supply from 750,000 cubic metres per day to 1.2 million cubic metres by the year 2035.

The water shortage problem is faced in most parts of the country and those being in the rural areas being highly affected, being at a percentage of 40%.

The water company has already completed seven programmes and now, there are nineteen more projects to go.

Currently, the demand stands at 750,000 cubic meters but the company only manages half a million. Wastage in the country is still a big challenge as 30% of water supplied to the city is lost through leakages or illegal connections.
