Female Members of Parliament (MPs) in Uganda were on Tuesday thrown into a ‘panic mode’ after they got wind that a man who can make women pregnant ‘by simply looking at them’ was in Parliament’s public gallery.
World kickboxing federation champion Moses Golola was in the house and women MPs were taking precaution after he initially stated that he has the power to make women pregnant by just looking at them.
“I am a man, who can just look at a woman and she gets pregnant,” Ugandan Daily Monitor quotes him. According to the paper, Speaker of Ugandan Parliament Rebecca Kadaga announced Golola’s presence in the public gallery causing unease among some members.
Woman MP Judith Franca Akello had to seek the Speaker’s indulgence as fear and panic overwhelmed some female MPs.
“Madam Speaker you mentioned here that Moses Golola is in the gallery, and for us women, we fear that we might get pregnant. I wonder if we are not at risk to proceed with a man who just looks at a woman and she becomes pregnant,” Daily Monitor quotes Ms Akello.
“What I can advise is that ladies should not look at him, you look elsewhere,” said the Speaker.
