Mr Joshua Ndirangu, a member of African Independent Pentacoastal Church, said that he was pleased to see Dr Ruto visiting the church for the first time.

Dr Ruto is among front runners in President Uhuru Kenyatta's succession race, and has often told off his critics over countrywide tours.

In his speech, Ndirangu expressed hope that he will be able to reach 2022 and get an opportunity to vote for his favorite presidential candidate, William Ruto.

"Coming here is a great milestone for us. May you be blessed. You are always welcome to this place. When you go home, great Mama," he said.

"We love you very much DP @WilliamsRuto and we are very happy you have come. I am 97 Years old. Am just waiting for two more years to be 100 years old and I will vote for you," he added.

The DP has been at loggerheads with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his allies, both accusing him of early presidential campaigns ahead of 2022.

But a defiant Ruto has often insisted that his trips are not intended to campaign for his bid, adding that he's keen to help Uhuru deliver.

At Nakuru, Dr Ruto dismissed Building Bridges Initiative report that is yet to come out. He said the country is not ready for another political battle.
