Kenyan youths have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure that they are prioritized when it comes to issues of national interest.
Speaking on their behalf at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday, University of Nairobi Student Leader Anne Mvurya said that the interest of the young men and women have been ignored for long.
She noted that Kenyan youths need to be considered when it comes to jobs and other issues of national interest.
"The youth request that they be put first and corruption issues against the youth should be well responded to. Incentives should also reach the youth, it is said that the youth are the poorest and yet the majority in the country," she said.
She opined that it is unfortunate that leaders have been using youths to push their agenda. Mvurya further said that they are looking forward to better days after the release of the report.
"Youth fund has been there but unfortunately it has been used by politicians and people and power. Can the incentives the BBI is talking about reach the youths?" she posed.
Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga have pledged to work together after the famous handshake.
