Former Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe has said that Deputy President William Ruto stands no chance of rising to power.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Murathe said that Ruto has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he cannot make a good President.
He argued that Kenyans are not ready to gamble with the country's top leadership with someone who has been tested and proven to be alleged failure on different issues.
"Kenyans are not ready for William Ruto's presidency, Ruto should be grateful that Uhuru gave him an opportunity to serve as the Deputy President though he messed up the country. 2022 anafaa kufikiria mara mbili ( 2022 we have to think twice). God can't punish us twice," he posted
In the recent past, Murathe caused a storm in the political arena after he retorted that President Kenyatta is going nowhere after 2022. He argued that Uhuru is too young to retire from politics.
Ruto has, however, said that Uhuru has no intentions of clinging on to power as alluded.
He made the remarks at Hiriga village in Nyeri County during the burial of Martha Kirigo, the mother to Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua on January, 8, 2020.
“For clarity, the party has no scheme or plan to change the constitution with the intent to take Kenya back to the dark days to have leadership concentrated in one corner of this country," he said.
