Kenyan artist Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee took to her social media accounts to explain what transpired during Wednesday’s drama at Parliament buildings.
In a Facebook post, Akothee reacted positively to the incident in which she was temporarily barred from accessing Parliament buildings over her dress code.
Akothee joked that it was her long legs that made her skirt look like a mini skirt, adding that she thought she was officially dressed.
Akothee who was dressed in a green mini-skirt suit revealed that she was given a leso to cover herself before she was allowed to access Parliament.
“It's my legs that are longer than the skirt, trust me it's not me. I thought I was officially dressed until I was lessod, well that was fun,” Akothee posted on Facebook.
The singer has invited Members of Parliament to join her during her official launch of Akothee Foundation scheduled to take place on September 28, 2019.
“I have invited the Members of Parliament to come join me in the official launch of Akothee Foundation on the 28th of September. I can't make a change in Turkana or the lives of people alone without them! I need everyone’s support. Thanks alot waheshimiwa as I wait to see and shake your hands!
