Kirinyaga Woman Representatives Purity Wangui Ngirici has finally opened up on a viral video going around in social media in which she is seen exchanging strong words with an angry motorist.
In the video, Ngirici looks on as the incensed motorist hurls angry words at her.
It is not clear what triggered the bitter exchange of words but the man shouting at the legislator can be heard telling her to follow traffic rules.
Through a post on her official Facebook page, Tuesday, the Woman Rep admitted that she was involved in the an incident.
“Going by the clip making rounds on social media, yes, sometime back I had an incident involving overlapping on the road. Sometimes, even leaders are reminded by the citizens about society and its values,” read part of her post.
“I took the lesson, appreciated and apologized accordingly. To grow together as one cohesive and harmonious society, we must remind and correct each other whenever we go wrong or make mistakes,” she added.
Ngirici who was elected on a Jubilee Party ticket in 2017 and is serving her first term in parliament.
