Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni now says that ODM leader Raila Odinga must have taken proper precautions with regards to his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The two leaders reconciled through a handshake on March 9 last year, one which has seen Raila get a new political lifeline, after his loss in the 2017 presidential elections.
But Kioni says that Raila, judging by his political experience, is very likely to be having his plan B and C, just incase the President reneges on the agreements contained in their truce.
"Dont think the honorable Prime Minister has a single plan, his age doesn't allow him. He is a schemer, its likely the handshake is just one of his plans (Mweshimiwa PM usije ukafikiri ako na plan moja, miaka yake haimruhusu. Siasa yake ni ya kuchora. Huenda hii handshake ni plan moja tu)," he said.
The former presidential running mate of Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi made the remarks on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show, Wednesday night.
On the other hand, he stated that the intentions of the handshake remains concealed to majority of Kenyans, save for the few forces surrounding the two.
The MP added that the two have remained unwilling to reveal the pillars behind their Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), making it more of a rumour to most of the remaining Kenyans.
"On the other hand the BBI remians a rumour, we have swen it (Hata hivyo, BBI tumeiskia kama rumours, hatujaiona)," he added in an interview also attended by political analyst Gerald Bitok.
Also present was former Rongo MP aspirant and governance expert David Osiany.
The truce has been seen as an alliance in the making ahead of the 2022 polls, and appears to have isolated Deputy President William Ruto.
