While addressing the Jubilee aspirants on Wednesday in Nairobi, Ruto said tribalism was the main problem to be solved by any political leader and it was thus the role of the aspirants to advocate for peace at all times.

"Let us unite all Nairobi residents and avert the problem of tribalism in the country. All aspirants should campaign without looking at where one comes from and peace should be agenda for all aspirants," said Ruto as quoted by Radio Taifa.

The DP further said the Jubilee government had achieved a lot through its development projects and it was going to do more if given another term.

According to Ruto, the development projects achieved by the Jubilee administration could only be destroyed if people went back to tribal animosity that almost destroyed the country after the 2007 general election.

"The Jubilee government has achieved a lot in its first term in office and thus it is way ahead. However, all this could go down the drain if people went back to tribal politics that almost destroyed the country after the 2007 general elections," added Ruto.

The aspirants promised the DP that they would work around the clock to unseat the incumbent, Governor  Evans Kidero from Nairobi's top job.
