Uhuru met the leaders on the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Uhuru and the two leaders discussed a wide range of issues during the meeting.

The head of State promised to work with the leaders to ensure that their mother nations reap big from their relationship at the end of the day.

“President Kenyatta held separate bilateral talks with the President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Souza and the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen on the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations General Assembly in New York,” State House confirmed.

The issues the leaders discussed when they met include mutual interest in their mother nations.

The President also asked the leaders to back Kenya in its quest for a non-permanent seat at the United Nation’s Security Council. Uhuru is optimistic that the two nations will back it in the fight to get the seat.
