Renowned journalist who won her way into the heart of Kenyans by chronicling her battle with the dreaded terminal disease of cancer has breathed his last.
The news was broken on Twitter by renowned journalist Peter Opondo who described the late journalist as a close friend.
"Oh my friend @AnjleeGadhvi You fought that cancer beast with all your might. You did it for your kids, husband. Never lost hope. You always smiled through the pain & insisted on coming to work even at your weakest points. We believed you were winning...until now! RIP my friend, " Peter Opondo's wrote on Twitter.
Other journalists who reacted to the news of Anjee's passing include KTN news anchor and show host Lindah Ogutu who wrote, "Wah!!!! May she rest in peace..."
Citizen TV's Lulu Hassan replied, "Inallilahi wa ina illaihi Rajiun...."
"Oh nooooo ... @AnjleeGadhvi fought hard & was full of positive energy ... Rest In Peace darling ... May the Almighty comfort and strengthen her family!" Sophia Wanuna wrote.
"Oh my! My condolences. She fought bravely. May she rest in peace and may her courage give others hope, " Gladys Gachanja wrote in a reply to Opondo's tweet that revealed the passing of Anjee.
Anjee Ghadvi's K24 program was titled 'The Cancer Lie' and was meant to give encouragement to those battling with the disease not to give up hope but keep on fighting.
