Senior Counsel Ahmednassir Abdullahi has blasted Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nancy Macharia over war with Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut).
In a tweet on Tuesday, the lawyer noted that Macharia is out to hurt teachers for no good reason.
''This WOMAN (Mrs Macharia) has DESTROYED innocent teachers...she personifies the CAPTURE of independent constitutional commission by the executive,'' said Ahmednassir Abdullahi.
This comes after the TSC issued Knut with a recognition agreement termination notice on Monday.
According to the notice she had also written to the National Labour Board, Knut had fallen below the number of members required for their agreement, which was made 51 years ago.
“The Kenya National Union of Teachers does not have the simple majority of unionise employees under the employment of the Teachers Service Commission as at November 4, 2019,” reads the letter as quoted by Citizen Digital.
This is not the first time TSC has had wars with Knut.
Last week, the TSC boss Nancy Macharia de-registered Knut Secretary General Wilson Sossion from being a teacher.
She gazetted his de-registration from the TSC meaning he will no longer be recognized as a teacher or teach in any school.
Sossion's woes escalated after he joinied politics and was in 2017 nominated to the National Assembly by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
