Deputy President William Ruto on Friday pledged to support McDonald Mariga for the Kibra parliamentary race in 2022.
Ruto who was speaking at the Bomas of Kenya during a thanksgiving ceremony to Jubilee supporters said that he had learnt lessons from the recently held Kibra by-election adding he will not stay away from Kibra.
We have learnt lessons from the Kibra mini poll. He looked for people to help him in the bedroom but he should know that things on the ground are different (Yule mzee alitafuta watu wamsaidie kwa bedroom lakini ajue vitu kwa ground ni different)," Ruto said.
"Through Mariga Jubilee administration will build a church, school and mosques," added DP Ruto.
Ruto blamed ODM politicians for causing violence during the by-election citing "You are an idiot if your pride comes from using force to win elections."
In the November 7 mini polls, Mariga lost to ODM's Imran Okoth.
