Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and ODM Party Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna have joined other Kenyans in wishing former Prime Minister Raila Odinga a happy birthday.

The African Union Special envoy turned 75 today. In a tweet, Joho said that he wishes the opposition leader a fulfilling birthday and long life as he leads the nation. He also hailed him as the father of democracy.

"To my Party leader and mentor Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga, a happy birthday. May the Almighty God give you long life and wisdom to continue leading the democratization of our Nation. #HappyBirthdayBaba," he posted.

Sifuna also expressed his joy on Raila's birthday. He wished him long life and prayed that he lives to see the fruits of his hard work and determination as far as leadership is concerned.

"HappyBirthdayBaba @RailaOdinga may you live long to see the fruits of years of your toil and labour for this country," Sifuna tweeted.

Raila Odinga Junior was equally not left behind when his father's birthday came knocking. He took to his twitter handle and wished him the best of luck in his endeavours.

"Happy birthday @RailaOdinga. Wishing you more returns! #HappyBirthdayBaba,"  he tweeted.

 The entire ODM fraternity also sent him a message of goodwill as he celebrates another year.

The ODM party tweeted: "We wish you plenty of joy today and every day of the coming year! You are a fantastic example of wisdom, leadership, and foresight. On your birthday, we wish you peace, good health, and happiness. You are the best mentor anyone could have asked for #HappyBirthdayBaba.'
