The County Government of Uasin Gishu will soon provide a solution for conflicting matatu Sacco’s plying the Eldoret - Kapsabet Road.
According to a post by County government of Uasin Gishu Eldoline, Namasco, Eldokaps, and 3KEN Saccos have been in wrangles over ownership of parking stages.
Speaking on Tuesday Uasin Gishu CEC Trade Dr Emily Kogos after hosting Nandi CEC Trade Trizzah Morogo said there are zoning plans which will go an extra mile in solving the problems of parking stages.
“Conducive business environment and a harmonious business relationship is key for the growth of any economy, Sacco’s operating across Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties should ensure there’s a good working relationship in the transport sector,” said the CEC trade.
She noted that her role is to see that every business person enjoys and delivers the best results from a favourable environment that the County always strives to give to its citizens. " Business is a continuous process and there shouldn't be any struggles witnessed,” added Dr Kogos.
On her part, Morogo noted that all the stakeholders, including her county’s Department of Trade and Enforcement, will work together to bring to an end to business wrangles.
Chief Officer for Cooperative and Enterprise Development, Pius Kigen, said the department is on course formulating solutions to Saccos that have no stage slots.
He further said that it's their business as the government to ensure that Matatu Saccos get slots since in return they give us revenue.
