Speaking on KTN's Inside Politics on Sunday, the commentator told the DP to quit preparing the way for his elevation and concentrate on his constitutional responsibilities.

He stressed on the need for the nation to come back to order from the current political confusion, which he observed will need the DP to do his job of assisting President Uhuru Kenyatta deliver.

"There is a person called the President who is supposed to be assisted by the Deputy President to deliver on their agenda. The only advise I'll give to my nation us let's stick to that order," he said.

Bichachi noted that the DP should not be campaigning at all as he already has the opportunity to showcase what he can do, and should use the chance to convince Kenyans.

He said that the same should apply to all deputies, including deputy governors eyeing their bosses' seats.

"I do not understand what a sitting leader would do campaigning because what promise will you give the people? What expectations? It is like me sitting here and saying next week when I come to his show I will really analyse," he added.

He said that the best campaign platform for them us to fully do their job, at a time when the DP has rubbished claims of engaging in early campaigns.

Ruto whose regular cross-country tours have been questioned by his critics has insisted that his tours are aimed at supervising development initiatives and have no political intentions.
