Wajir Woman Rep Fatuma Gedi has fired salvos at Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale over 2022 politics.
Speaking to members of the press on Saturday in Habaswein, Gedi warned Duale against trying to bring politics in Wajir, claiming that the Garissa legislator had dispatched "Tangatanga MPs to disrupt President Uhuru Kenyatta's function in Wajir."
"He sent Tangatanga MPs to come and disrupt President Uhuru's function and he could not do it because the people of Habaswein said no because we support the president and the Big Four Agenda, " the Wajir Woman Rep said. (1:03-1:16)
Gedi went on to claim that Duale was trying to sow division in Wajir.
She called on the outspoken Garissa Township legislator to focus on issues affecting his county.
The Woman Rep appears to have ditched the Tangatanga movement, an armophous group made up of staunch supporters of Deputy President Dr William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
A few weeks ago, she joined veteran opposition and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga in Elgeyo Marakwet, fueling speculation that she could be cozying up to the former prime minister.
Gedi is member of the so-called 'Embrace' group made up of Woman Reps supporting the handshake between Raila and President Uhuru.
Unlike other woman reps in Northern Kenya region who have publicly supported DP Ruto's presidential aspirations, Gedi has not come out clearly on who she will support for the top seat.
