Students of Kioge Girls on Thursday disputed the accounts of administration that a Form One colleague died in Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Ms Belvin Kerubo died on Thursday with the administration and the students giving contradicting information, a move that could lead to a probe.
According to students account, Kerubo died at 3am on Thursday after trying to sought help from the administration for several hours, they claimed.
"She was in pain throughout and we tried to resuscitate her for several hours. She woke up later and asked for food. We tried to reach teachers in vain," said one of the students in an interview.
"At 3am, we found her on the floor bleeding. She was no more. They are saying she died in hospital but that is not the case. She died in the dorm."
The incident has sent shocking waves with social media users demanding for immediate probe from the ministry of education under the stewardship of Prof George Magoha.
The students believe she died in school but Kitutu Central director of Education Paul Ongoi said he was informed that Belvin died in hospital.
"We have conflicting reports. I was informed that she died in hospital yet students claim that it happened in school. This matter shall be probed," he said.
The school administration did not give journalists who had camped in the institution any interview. The incident takes place barely two months after another student died in Don Bosco Secondary School in Gesima.
