In an interview on NTV’s Am Live show on Tuesday, Otiende said the office of the DPP requires the support of the people of Kenya to win the war against graft. "For those who apparently know more about this case should help us by either going to the police or producing documents on this Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal," he said.

During the same interview, Amollo defended the DPP against fierce criticisms from a section of politicians. He said the DPP has no personal interest in the case.

The former Ombudsman opined that it is unfortunate for some politicians to term DPP Noordin Haji a 'political conman' when billions are missing in the project.

“We should not condemn the DPP with strong words like ‘political conmanship.’ The DPP did not present evidence of the prosecution. When he does that then we can meaningfully analyse the case,” he added.

On Monday, Haji ordered for the arrest of National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich, Kamau Thugge (Treasury Principal Secretary), Jackson Kinyanjui (Treasury Director of resource mobilization) among other officers linked to the dams scandal.
