A Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is looking for a girlfriend to accompany him on what promises to be an exciting voyage to the moon, Reuters has reported.
Mr Maezawa says that only single women are eligible to apply.
“As feelings of loneliness and emptiness slowly begin to surge upon me, there’s one thing that I think about: continuing to love one woman,” Yusaku Maezawa wrote on a website for applicants as quoted by Reuters.
“I want to find a ‘life partner’. With that future partner of mine, I want to shout our love and world peace from outer space,” he added.
The billionaire sold his online fashion retailer Zozo Inc to SoftBank Group Corp and will be flying alongside SpaceX boss Elon Musk on the voyage to the lunar surface.
Maezawa is single after recently breaking up with his Japanese girlfriend following irreconcilable differences.
The application window closes on 17, January with the billionaire widely expected to name the successful applicant in March.
A few days ago, Maezawa caused a stir on social media platforms after he offered millions of dollars to his followers to see if it would make them happy.
A documentary that will chronicle his attention-grabbing stunt is in the works.
