Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV’ on Tuesday, the lawmaker said time has come for Kenyans to contemplate about the system of leadership.

He reiterated that rule of the people seems not to be working.

The lawmaker, who was arrested following an altercation with Nominated Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda, said that the current form of leadership has made the country to continue lagging behind in terms of development.

He noted that some leaders have developed the habit of pushing for positions in the name of democracy when there are projects that need to be completed by the current government.

He also said that he cannot imagine rooting for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Raila Amolo Odinga in the Mt Kenya region.

He also said that his woes originate from the support he declared for Deputy President William Ruto before the 2022 General elections.

“Once upon a time, of course, I was very critical and kind of revolutionary, maybe because of age and maybe some language was harsh to those who were being meted by the immoderations of power. When I was writing what I wrote, it was at the height of post-election skirmishes. I regret the language but not the content,” he said, as Daily Nation quoted him.
