The next phase of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) will come as a shocker to those opposing push for changes, city lawyer and political commentator Brian Weke has said.
Speaking on Saturday, Weke said Kenyans should expect more from the push, especially now that the exercise of revising BBI has began.
"This is just the first level of the BBI, the next one will be bigger. Those who were opposing it might be treated to water transfusion. (Hii ni BBI level one, ile inakuja kwa referendum ni kubwa, wale watu waliokuwa wanapinga wataongezewa maji)," he opined.
He spoke on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi, also attended by Thirdway Alliance Secretary General Frederick Okango and nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura.
However, his remarks were rubbished by Mwaura, who accused him of using fear mongering to force Kenyans and politicians questioning the push, to change their stand.
According to the lawmaker, BBI has already failed to deliver the tsunami that was earlier promised by ODM leader Raila Odinga, and should not be used to scare people any further.
"There is no tsunami, stop throwing worrying remarks at others. If the BBI will pass it will pass. (Hakuna tsunami, wacheni kurushia watu woga na mambo ya kuleta wasiwasi. Kama BBI itapita itapita)," added the senator.
