Renowned blogger and digital strategist Dennis Itumbi has said disobeying court orders could lead to anarchy in the country.
In a tweet on Sunday, Itumbi noted that courts have been granted power by the Constitution to deliver rulings, adding that every one should abide to the rulings.
He further noted that once a court delivers a ruling, it is upon the affected parties to adhere to the ruling fully.
"The beginning of chaos and anarchy is when we start disobeying court orders. We cannot watch as public officers decide whether or not to obey court orders. No one has a choice in the face of legitimately issued court orders." Itumbi said.
Itumbi and a section of leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto have hit out on the police and a section of public officers for disobeying court orders.
The leaders accused the police of illegally detaining Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, after a court ordered for his release.
"Moses Kuria released this evening following protests and him beginning a hunger strike, but it’s more than just illegal incarceration and subsequent release. It is and must be about the rule of law vs rule of man. Miguna Miguna also should be home with his family," he tweeted.
On her part, nominated Senator Millicent Omanga said: "A country that doesn't obey court orders is just but a savage country"
