Machakos county governor Dr Alfred Mganga Mutua has hinted that his county government will soon built additional 110 public toilets around the county.
Taking to Facebook on Tuesday, Mutua said this after court resolved that Kenya should have highway toilets and other sanitation facilities along major roads.
"When I took over as governor for Machakos in 2013,I embarked on building modern toilets in towns and rest areas along the highways," the vocal leader said adding that it was due to his maendeleo chap chap action and service to mwananchi.
According to the controversial politician, his county is already set with clean and free highway toilets.
"From Mlolongo, kyumbi junction and all the way to makutano na mwala Machakos free and clean toilets can be found either in towns or by roads every 15_20 Kilometres all over the county," he noted.
In a ruling,Justice Kossy Bor ordered the ministry of transport to hold a meeting which will constitute of Council of governrs (COG) Kenya national highways authority(KENHA),Kenya urban roads authority (KURA) and Kenya rural roads authority(KERRA) representatives to know the way forward and formulate ways to come up with good highway sanitation facilities.
As stated in the standard news paper,Many long distance travelers occasionally receive calls of nature but lack good amenities to use along the roads.
