Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has said he is yet to make his mind on who to vote for during the 2022 general election.
The renowned lawyer said as things stand now, he is not opposed to or backing any politician among all who have declared interest to take over power from President Uhuru Kenyatta in the next polls.
In a tweet on Monday, the vocal lawyer said he will vote in 2022 as guided by the leaders of Jubilee Party, who are President Uhuru Kenyatta, and his deputy William Ruto.
"I have not declared my support for or my opposition to any candidate for 2022. I am waiting for H.E Uhuru, DP Ruto and Jubilee to provide guidance," he posted.
He defended the ruling party saying even though it had failed to fulfill it's promises to Kenyans, it has admitted its mistakes and was ready to address them.
He said Jubilee will only find solutions to the current economic mess from within, and not from rival parties, which he said can only offer competition but not solutions.
"Jubilee is like the communist party of China...Mistakes and blunders have been done against the people of Kenya...And the party readily admits to these gross mistakes...but corrective measures, redress and introspection will come from within...outsiders can form a competitor," Abdullahi said.
The seasoned lawyer was part of Jubilee's legal team in the 2013 and 2017 presidential petitions at the Supreme Court.
