Nguli cited frustrations from county executive committee when presenting her letter of resignation.

In the letter submitted on Friday, Nguli said she is no longer interested in serving in the said capacity after the endless frustrations she had received from the team while in office.

She further noted that the decision had been reached after wide consultations with friends and members of her immediate family.

“As earlier discussed with you, the difficult working environment and my inability to convince the County Executive Committee on financial matters has made it untenable for me to complete my contractual engagement with the county government,” her letter read as quoted by Standard.

“I wish to hereby relay my decision to resign from duty as the County Executive Committee Member for County Treasury with immediate effect," she added.

The resignation comes months after Ngilu’s two other CECs nominees were rejected by the MCAs.

The two are; Rosaita Ngina for Health and  Philip Mumo for Trade.

The governor is now expected to rethink about her next appointment as she seeks to leave behind a legacy when she completes his first term in office.
