Popular Kameme FM presenter Wamucii Wa Kinyari now says renowned Kikuyu gospel musician Sammy Irungu has apologised following a leaked audio in which he was captured spewing insults.
Irungu has been trending on social media after a recorded phone conversation emerged, where he insulted a lady who was demanding Sh15,000 refund from him, after he failed to show up to perform at a church event he was invited.
Wamucii on Thursday said the lady was the wife of the Pastor of the church where the musician was scheduled to perform, claiming he has already apologised to them.
"Sammy Irungu thank you for owning up to your mistakes and apologising to the Pastor and his wife as well and to the body of Christ at large. Indeed this is humility at it's best. God is a God of second chances (and) may He guide you in your ministry. I wish you nothing but the very best," she posted on Facebook.
Wamucii, who is the host of Kameme's early morning gospel show ‘Rwiga rwa Kiroho’, further disclosed that Irungu has reconciled with the church and they have accepted to forgive him.
"I am happy that the reconciliation process has happened. I believe in the power of confession and sincere repentance. May God guide you always," posted the presenter who is also a Pastor of a Nairobi Church.
Irungu is famous for hits such as Maithori Makwa (My Tears), Ngita Ya Daudi (David's Quitar), Njira Ciaku (Your Ways), Ni Wikite Magegania (You've Done Wonders) among others.
